Surah Duha Ayat 9 in Arabic Text

فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
Fa am mal yateema fala taqhar

English Translation

So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,

Ala-Maududi

(93:9) Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan;[9]


9. That is, as you yourself have been an orphan and Allahgraced you with the bounty that he made the best possiblearrangements to help you in that state, therefore, ingratitude you should see that no orphan is treated unjustlyand harshly.
