And when a sign comes to them, they say, “Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allah.” Allah is most knowing of where He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allah and severe punishment for what they used to conspire.
When there comes to them a sign (from Allah), They say: “We shall not believe until we receive one (exactly) like those received by Allah’s messengers.” Allah knoweth best where (and how) to carry out His mission. Soon will the wicked be overtaken by humiliation before Allah, and a severe punishment, for all their plots.
Whenever there comes to them a sign from Allah, they say: ‘We will not believe until we are given what was given to the Messengers of Allah.’ Allah knows best where to place His message. Soon shall these wicked ones meet with humiliation and severe chastigement from Allah for all their evil plotting.
And when there comes to them a sign (from Allah) they say: “We shall not believe until we receive the like of that which the Messengers of Allah had received.” Allah knows best with whom to place His Message. Humiliation and disgrace from Allah and a severe torment will overtake the criminals (polytheists, sinners, etc.) for that which they used to plot.
And when a token cometh unto them, they say: We will not believe till we are given that which Allah’s messengers are given. Allah knoweth best with whom to place His message. Humiliation from Allah and heavy punishment will smite the guilty for their scheming.
And when a sign (i.e., an ،،،àyah” = a verse) came to them, they said, “We will never believe until we are brought the like of what the Messengers of Allah were brought.” Allah knows best where He makes His Message. Belittlement in the Meeting (i.e., the Reckoning of Allah) with Allah will soon afflict the ones who committed (crimes) and a strict torment (will afflict them) for whatever they were scheming.
When a revelation is brought before them they say, ‘We shall not believe unless we ourselves are given a revelation as God’s messengers were.’ But God knows best where to place His messages: humiliation before God and severe torment will befall the evildoers for their scheming.
اور جب ان کو کوئی آیت پہنچتی ہے تو یوں کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ہرگز ایمان نہ ﻻئیں گے جب تک کہ ہم کو بھی ایسی ہی چیز نہ دی جائے جو اللہ کے رسولوں کو دی جاتی ہے، اس موقع کو تو اللہ ہی خوب جانتا ہے کہ کہاں وه اپنی پیغمبری رکھے؟ عنقریب ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے جرم کیا ہے اللہ کے پاس پہنچ کر ذلت پہنچے گی اور ان کی شرارتوں کے مقابلے میں سخت سزائیں

Ala-Maududi
(6:124) Whenever there comes to them a sign from Allah, they say: ‘We will not believe until we are given what was given to the Messengers of Allah.’[91] Allah knows best where to place His message. Soon shall these wicked ones meet with humiliation and severe chastigement from Allah for all their evil plotting.
91. This shows that they were unwilling to believe in the statement of the Prophets that an angel of God came to each of them and delivered the message of God. They would believe, they said, only if the angel approached them directly and intimated God’s message to them.
