Surah Al-Anfal Ayat 14 in Arabic Text
English Translation
Here you can read various translations of verse 14
“That [is yours], so taste it.” And indeed for the disbelievers is the punishment of the Fire.
Thus (will it be said): “Taste ye then of the (punishment): for those who resist Allah, is the penalty of the Fire.”
That is your punishment (from Allah). So taste this punishment, and know that for the unbelievers is the punishment of the Fire.
This is the torment, so taste it, and surely for the disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.
That (is the award), so taste it, and (know) that for disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.
That (The Arabic pronoun is in the plural from, indicating strict punishment) (is the punishment), so taste it; and that the torment of the Fire is for the disbelievers.
‘That is what you get! Taste that!’––and the torment of the Fire awaits the disbelievers.
سو یہ سزا چکھو اور جان رکھو کہ کافروں کے لیے جہنم کا عذاب مقرر ہی ہے

Ala-Maududi
(8:14) That is your punishment (from Allah). So taste this punishment,[12] and know that for the unbelievers is the punishment of the Fire.
12. Here the discourse is suddenly directed to the unbelievers who we mentioned in (Surah Al-Anfal, ayat 13) as deserving of God’s punishment.
