Surah Al-Anbiya Ayat 103 in Arabic Text

لَا يَحۡزُنُهُمُ ٱلۡفَزَعُ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ هَٰذَا يَوۡمُكُمُ ٱلَّذِي كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ
Laa yahzunuhumul faza’ul akbaru wa tatalaq qaahumul malaaa’ikatu haazaa Yawmukumul lazee kuntum too’adoon

English Translation

Here you can read various translations of verse 103

Sahih International
They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will meet them, [saying], “This is your Day which you have been promised” –

Yusuf Ali
The Great Terror will bring them no grief: but the angels will meet them (with mutual greetings): “This is your Day,- (the Day) that ye were promised.”

Abul Ala Maududi
The Hour of the Great Terror shall not grieve them, and the angels shall receive them saying: “This is your Day which you had been promised.”

Muhsin Khan
The greatest terror (on the Day of Resurrection) will not grieve them, and the angels will meet them, (with the greeting): “This is your Day which you were promised.”

Pickthall
The Supreme Horror will not grieve them, and the angels will welcome them, (saying): This is your Day which ye were promised;

Dr. Ghali
The greatest alarm will not grieve them, and the Angels will receive them: “This is your Day that you were promised.”

Abdel Haleem
They will have no fear of the great Terror: the angels will receive them with the words, ‘This is the Day you were promised!’

Muhammad Junagarhi
وه بڑی گھبراہٹ (بھی) انہیں غمگین نہ کر سکے گی اور فرشتے انہیں ہاتھوں ہاتھ لیں گے، کہ یہی تمہارا وه دن ہے جس کا تم وعده دیئے جاتے رہے

Quran 21 Verse 103 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(21:103) The Hour of the Great Terror shall not grieve them,[98] and the angels shall receive them saying: “This is your Day which you had been promised.”


98. That is, the time of mustering and going before Allah will be very dreadful for the common people but the righteous people will have full peace of mind because everything will be happening according to their expectations. Their faith and the righteous deeds they did in the world, will help console them by the grace of Allah and, instead of grief and sorrow, they will be filled with the hope that they are going to get their promised rewards.
