Surah Al-Anbiya Ayat 4 in Arabic Text

قَالَ رَبِّي يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Qaala Rabbee ya’lamul qawla fis samaaa’i wal ardi wa Huwas Samee’ul ‘Aleem

Sahih International
The Prophet said, “My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.”

Yusuf Ali
Say: “My Lord knoweth (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth: He is the One that heareth and knoweth (all things).”

Abul Ala Maududi
He said: “My Lord knows well all that is spoken in the heavens and the earth. He is All-Hearing, All- Knowing.”

Muhsin Khan
He (Muhammad SAW) said: “My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.”

Pickthall
He saith: My Lord knoweth what is spoken in the heaven and the earth. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

Dr. Ghali
He has said, “My Lord knows what is said (Literally: the saying) in the heaven and the earth, and He is The Ever – Hearing, The Ever – Knowing.”

Abdel Haleem
He said, ‘My Lord knows everything that is said in the heavens and the earth: He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing.’

Quran 21 Verse 4 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(21:4) He said: “My Lord knows well all that is spoken in the heavens and the earth. He is All-Hearing, All- Knowing.”[6]


6. This was the answer of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to their false propaganda and whispering campaign. Instead of giving a tit for tat answer, he said: My Lord will deal with you for He hears everything and knows everything.
