Surah Ghashiyah Ayat 11 in Arabic Text

لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَـٰغِيَةًۭ
Laa tasma’u feehaa laaghiyah

English Translation

Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.

Yusuf Ali
Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity:

Abul Ala Maududi
wherein they shall hear no vain talk.

Muhsin Khan
Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood,

Pickthall
Where they hear no idle speech,

Dr. Ghali
Therein they do not hear any idle (word).

Abdel Haleem
where they will hear no idle talk,

Quran 88 Verse 11 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(88:11) wherein they shall hear no vain talk.[5]
