Surah Al-Hijr Ayat 47 in Arabic Text

وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
Wa naza’naa ma fee sudoorihim min ghillin ikhwaanan ‘alaa sururim mutaqaabileen

English Translation

Here you can read various translations of verse 47

Sahih International
And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other.

Yusuf Ali
And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity).

Abul Ala Maududi
And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers.

Muhsin Khan
“And We shall remove from their breasts any sense of injury (that they may have), (So they will be like) brothers facing each other on thrones.

Pickthall
And We remove whatever rancour may be in their breasts. As brethren, face to face, (they rest) on couches raised.

Dr. Ghali
And We will draw out from them whatever rancor may be in their breasts; as brethren they will be upon settees facing one another.

Abdel Haleem
and We shall remove any bitterness from their hearts: [they will be like] brothers, sitting on couches, face to face.

Muhammad Junagarhi
ان کے دلوں میں جو کچھ رنجش وکینہ تھا، ہم سب کچھ نکال دیں گے، وه بھائی بھائی بنے ہوئے ایک دوسرے کے آمنے سامنے تختوں پر بیٹھے ہوں گے

Quran 15 Verse 47 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(15:47) And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour;[28] and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers.


28. That is, if any spite might have been caused in their hearts in this world because of misunderstandings between the pious people, it shall be removed at the time of their entry into Paradise and they will bear no ill feelings there against each other.
