Surah Qalam Ayat 22 in Arabic Text

أَنِ ٱغۡدُواْ عَلَىٰ حَرۡثِكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰرِمِينَ
Anighdoo ‘alaa harsikum in kuntum saarimeen

English Translation

[Saying], “Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit.”

“Go ye to your tilth (betimes) in the morning, if ye would gather the fruits.”

Abul Ala Maududi
“Hurry to your orchard if you would gather its fruit.”

Saying: “Go to your tilth in the morning, if you would pluck the fruits.”

Saying: Run unto your field if ye would pluck (the fruit).

Quran 68 Verse 22 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(68:22) “Hurry to your orchard[14] if you would gather its fruit.”


14. The word tilth probably has been used because in the garden there were also fields of crops in between the trees.

Ibn-Kathir
