Surah An-Nisa Ayat 41 in Arabic Text

فَكَيۡفَ إِذَا جِئۡنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةِۭ بِشَهِيدٖ وَجِئۡنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيدٗا

Fakaifa izaa ji’naa min kulli ummatim bishaheedinw wa ji’naabika ‘alaa haaa’ulaaa ‘i Shaheeda

English Translation

Here you can read various translations of verse 41

Sahih International
So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness?

Yusuf Ali
How then if We brought from each people a witness, and We brought thee as a witness against these people!

Abul Ala Maududi
Consider, then, when We shall bring forward witnesses from every community, and will bring you (O Muhammad!) as a witness against them all.

Muhsin Khan
How (will it be) then, when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you (O Muhammad SAW) as a witness against these people?

Pickthall
But how (will it be with them) when We bring of every people a witness, and We bring thee (O Muhammad) a witness against these?

Dr. Ghali
How then will it be when We cause to come from every nation a witness and cause you to come as a witness against these?

Quran 4 Verse 41 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(4:41) Consider, then, when We shall bring forward witnesses from every community, and will bring you (O Muhammad!) as a witness against them all.^[64]

64. The Prophet of each age will stand as a witness before God against his people; he will testify that he conveyed to them the true way of life, and showed them the right outlook and the fundamentals of moral conduct revealed to him by God. The testimony of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) will be to the same effect, and the Qur’an indicates that he will stand as a witness to the period beginning with his advent as a Prophet right through to the Day of Judgement.
