But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].
Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)!
But they rejected his statement as a lie and hamstrung the she-camel. For that crime their Lord rumbled down upon them, utterly razing them to the ground.
Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)!
But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings).
Yet they cried lies to him. So they hamstrung her; then their Lord devastated them for their guilty (deed), so He leveled it (i.e., destroyed the whole country).

ان لوگوں نے اپنے پیغمبر کو جھوٹا سمجھ کر اس اونٹنی کی کوچیں کاٹ دیں، پس ان کے رب نے ان کے گناہوں کے باعﺚ ان پر ہلاکت ڈالی اور پھر ہلاکت کو عام کر دیا اور اس بستی کو برابر کردیا
Quran 91 Verse 14 Explanation

Ala-Maududi
(91:14) But they rejected his statement as a lie and hamstrung the she-camel.[10] For that crime their Lord rumbled down upon them, utterly razing them to the ground.
10. According to (Surah Al-Aaraf, Ayat 77), after they had killed the she-camel, the people of Thamud said to the Prophet Salih (peace be upon him): Bring the scourge with which you threatened us. And according to Surah Houd, Ayat 65, the Prophet Salih (peace be upon him) said to them: Well, you have only three more days to enjoy yourselves in your houses. This is a limit that will not prove false.
