Surah Fussilat Ayat 41 in Arabic Text
English Translation
Here you can read various translations of verse 41
Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message after it has come to them… And indeed, it is a mighty Book.
Those who reject the Message when it comes to them (are not hidden from Us). And indeed it is a Book of exalted power.
These are the ones who rejected the Good Counsel when it came to them, although it is certainly a Mighty Book.
Verily, those who disbelieved in the Reminder (i.e. the Quran) when it came to them (shall receive the punishment). And verily, it is an honourable respected Book (because it is Allah’s Speech, and He has protected it from corruption, etc.). (See V. 15:9]
Lo! those who disbelieve in the Reminder when it cometh unto them (are guilty), for lo! it is an unassailable Scripture.
Surely the ones who disbelieved in the Remembrance as soon as it came to them (are unjust), and surely it is indeed a Mighty Book;
Those who reject the Quran when it comes to them- though it is an unassailable Scripture
جن لوگوں نے اپنے پاس قرآن پہنچ جانے کے باوجود اس سے کفر کیا، (وه بھی ہم سے پوشیده نہیں) یہ بڑی باوقعت کتاب ہے
Quran 41 Verse 41 Explanation
For those looking for commentary to help with the understanding of Surah Fussilat ayat 41, we’ve provided two Tafseer works below. The first is the tafseer of Abul Ala Maududi, the second is of Ibn Kathir.
Ala-Maududi
(41:41) These are the ones who rejected the Good Counsel when it came to them, although it is certainly a Mighty Book.[51]
51. A mighty Book: An unchanging Book, which cannot be defeated by tricks and cunning devices, which the worshipers of falsehood are employing against it. It has the force of the truth in it, the force of true knowledge, the force of argument and reason, the force of eloquence and style, the force of divinity of God who sent it, and the force of the personality of the Messenger who presented it. No one, therefore, can defeat it by falsehood and hollow propaganda.
Ibn-Kathir
