O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [your being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allah if it came to us?” Pharaoh said, “I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct.”
“O my People! Yours is the dominion this day: Ye have the upper hand in the land: but who will help us from the Punishment of Allah, should it befall us?” Pharaoh said: “I but point out to you that which I see (myself); Nor do I guide you but to the Path of Right!”
My people, today the kingdom is yours, and you are supreme in the land. But if Allah’s chastisement were to come upon you, who will come to our help?” Pharaoh said: “I only counsel what I consider right; I only direct you to the Path of Rectitude.”
“O my people! Yours is the kingdom this day, you are uppermost in the land. But who will save us from the Torment of Allah, should it befall us?” Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said: “I show you only that which I see (correct), and I guide you only to the path of right policy!”
O my people! Yours is the kingdom to-day, ye being uppermost in the land. But who would save us from the wrath of Allah should it reach us? Pharaoh said: I do but show you what I think, and I do but guide you to wise policy.
O my people, today the kingdom is yours, you being topmost in the land; yet who will vindicate us against the violence of Allah in case it comes upon us?” Fircwan (Pharaoh) said, “In no way would I let you see except what I see, and in no way do I guide you except in the way of right-mindedness.”
My people, as masters in the land you have the power today, but who will help us against God’s might if it comes upon us?’ But Pharaoh said, ‘I have told you what I think; I am guiding you along the right path.’
اے میری قوم کے لوگو! آج تو بادشاہت تمہاری ہے کہ اس زمین پر تم غالب ہو لیکن اگر اللہ کا عذاب ہم پر آ گیا تو کون ہماری مدد کرے گا؟ فرعون بوﻻ، میں تو تمہیں وہی رائے دے رہا ہوں جو خود دیکھ رہا ہوں اور میں تو تمہیں بھلائی کی راه ہی بتلا رہا ہوں
Quran 40 Verse 29 Explanation

Ala-Maududi
(40:29) My people, today the kingdom is yours, and you are supreme in the land. But if Allah’s chastisement were to come upon you, who will come to our help?”[48] Pharaoh said: “I only counsel what I consider right; I only direct you to the Path of Rectitude.”[49]
48. That is, why are you being ungrateful to Allah for His blessing of granting you domination in the land and are inviting His scourge to visit you?
49. From this answer of Pharaoh it appears that he had not yet found out that the noble of his court had become a Believer in his heart. That is why he did not show any displeasure at what he said, but made clear that he was not inclined to change his opinion even after hearing what he had to say.
