Surah Inshiqaq Ayat 4 in Arabic Text

وَأَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡ
Wa alqat maa feehaa wa takhallat

English Translation

And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]

Yusuf Ali
And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty,

Abul Ala Maududi
and casts out what is within it and is emptied,

Muhsin Khan
And has cast out all that was in it and became empty,

And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty

Dr. Ghali
And will cast forth what is in it and will void itself,

Quran 84 Verse 4 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(84:4) and casts out what is within it and is emptied,[3]


3. That is, it will throw out all dead bodies of men and also the traces and evidences of their deeds lying within it, so that nothing remains hidden and buried in it.
