Surah Jumu’ah Ayat 8 in Arabic Text

قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ ٱلَّذِي تَفِرُّونَ مِنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَٰقِيكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
Qul innal mawtal lazee tafirroona minhu fa innahoo mulaaqeekum summa turaddoona ilaa ‘Aalimil Ghaibi wash shahaadati fa yunabbi’ukum bimaa kuntum ta’maloon

English Translation

Sahih International
Say, “Indeed, the death from which you flee – indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do.”

Yusuf Ali
Say: “The Death from which ye flee will truly overtake you: then will ye be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open: and He will tell you (the truth of) the things that ye did!”

Abul Ala Maududi
Tell them: “The death from which you flee will certainly overtake you. Then you will be returned to Him Who fully knows what is hidden and what is manifest. Thereupon He will let you know all that you used to do.”

Muhsin Khan
Say (to them): “Verily, the death from which you flee will surely meet you, then you will be sent back to (Allah), the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what you used to do.”

Pickthall
Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do.

Dr. Ghali
Say, “Surely, the death from which you flee will surely then meet you; thereafter you will be turned back to The Knower of the Unseen and the Witnessed. Then He will fully inform you of whatever you were doing.”

Abdel Haleem
They say, ‘Once we return to Medina the powerful will drive out the weak,’ but power belongs to God, to His Messenger, and to the believers, though the hypocrites do not know this.

Muhammad Junagarhi
کہہ دیجئے! کہ جس موت سے تم بھاگتے پھرتے ہو وه تو تمہیں پہنچ کر رہے گی پھر تم سب چھپے کھلے کے جاننے والے (اللہ) کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے اور وه تمہیں تمہارے کیے ہوئے تمام کام بتلا دے گا
