Surah Nur Ayat 46 in Arabic Text

لَّقَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَآ ءَايَٰتٖ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٖۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

Laqad anzalnaaa Aayaatim mubaiyinaat; wallaahu yahdee mai yashaaa’u ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

English Translation

Here you can read various translations of verse 46

Sahih International
We have certainly sent down distinct verses. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

Yusuf Ali
We have indeed sent down signs that make things manifest: and Allah guides whom He wills to a way that is straight.

Abul Ala Maududi
We have sent down Revelations that make the reality quite plain; however, Allah guides to the straight path whomsoever He pleases.

Muhsin Khan
We have indeed sent down (in this Quran) manifest Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, lawful and unlawful things, and the set boundries of Islamic religion, etc. that make things clear showing the Right Path of Allah). And Allah guides whom He wills to a Straight Path (i.e. to Allah’s religion of Islamic Monotheism).

Pickthall
Verily We have sent down revelations and explained them. Allah guideth whom He will unto a straight path.

Dr. Ghali

(24:46) Verily We have sent down revelations that clearly explain the Truth. Allah guides whomsoever He wills to a Straight Way.

Ibn-Kathir

46. We have indeed sent down manifest Ayat. And Allah guides whom He wills to the straight path.) Allah states that in this Qur’an He has revealed many clear and unambiguous rulings, words of wisdom and parables, and that He guides people of understanding, insight and intellect to ponder and understand them. He says:

﴿وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ﴾

(And Allah guides whom He wills to the Straight Path.)
