English Translation
Here you can read various translations of verse 39
And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do –
But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;-
You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.”
And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah’s disobedience which you used to do in this world);
Ye are requited naught save what ye did –
And in no way will you be recompensed, except according to whatever you were doing.
and be repaid only according to your deeds.’
