Allah loves to be asked and encourages all beings to supplicate to him for whatever we may need. This is repeated many times in the Quran,
"When my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on me." 2:186
“And your Lord said: “Invoke Me [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism) and ask Me for anything] I will respond to your (invocation)” 40:60
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The supplication, is worship.” Then he recited: And Your Lord said: “Call upon me, I will respond to you. Verily, those who scorn My worship, they will surely enter Hell humiliated. At Tirmidhi Hadith #3372
