Islam is the bridge between you and Jannah (paradise).

Jannah is an Arabic word which literally translates to mean “garden”. It is the same concept of Heaven in Christianity or Judaism. It is the final destination that we all are working towards and where we inshallah will spend the rest of eternity.

Getting into Jannah is straightforward, it’s simple but not easy. Allah has been very clear on the type of person who will go to Jannah, it is the believers who obey and submit to Allah’s command in this dunya (world), they are of good character, they are among the one’s who pray, fast, and give to charity. It is the one who abstains from evil things which are haram and lead a life of virtue. We are constantly surrounded by temptations from shaitan, the promise of Jannah will be given to those strong in mind and pure in heart, the one who can discipline him or herself to drown out all the noise and distraction and seek constant refuge in Allah.

Inshallah this will serve as a motivation to remind the Muslim’s of why we are sacrificing our time, our energy and effort towards achieving the afterlife. We will go over Quran verses which highlight the beauty of Jannah and explore what certain hadith has mentioned about Jannah as well.

Beauty of Jannah

“The description of Paradise which the righteous have been promised is that in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine delicious to those who drink; and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure) therein for them is every kind of fruit; and forgiveness from their Lord..” (Surah Muhammad verse 15)

LEVELS OF JANNAH

Al-Bukhaari Hadith Number 2790: Narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “In Paradise there are one hundred levels that Allah has prepared for those who strive in jihad for the sake of Allah. The distance between each two levels is like the distance between heaven and earth. So if you ask of Allah, then ask Him for al-Firdaws, for it is the middle of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise. I think above it is the Throne of the Most Gracious, and from it spring the rivers of Paradise.”

Who Will Enter:

Surely the ones who have believed and done deeds of righteousness, the Gardens of Paradise will (duly) be their hospitality. (18:107)
