Du'a Returning a greeting to a disbeliever

For those unfamiliar, Hisnul Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) is a well-known du'a book compiled by Said Bin Ali Bin Wahf Al-Qahtani. It categorizes authentic supplications that the Prophet ﷺ made in various situations. In the 109th chapter, "Returning a greeting to a disbeliever" there is 1 supplication that you can learn and recite.

إذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ فَقُولُوا:

If one of the People of the Scripture (i.e., Christians and Jews) greets you saying As-Salaamu alaykum, then say (to him):
