Surah Ma’arij Ayat 21 in Arabic Text

وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلۡخَيۡرُ مَنُوعًا
Wa izaa massahul khairu manoo’aa

English Translation

And when good touches him, withholding [of it],

Yusuf Ali
And niggardly when good reaches him;-

Abul Ala Maududi
and tight-fisted when good fortune visits him,

Muhsin Khan
And niggardly when good touches him;

Pickthall
And, when good befalleth him, grudging;

Dr. Ghali
And when charity touches him, (he is) a constant preventer of it,

Abdel Haleem
but tight-fisted when good fortune comes his way.
