Surah Ma’arij Ayat 7 in Arabic Text

وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبٗا
Wa naraahu qareebaa

English Translation

But We see it [as] near.

Quran 70 Verse 7 Explanation

Ala-Maududi

(70:7) while We think that it is near at hand.[7]


7. This can have two meanings:

(1) That these people think it cannot possibly take place, and in Our view it is going to take place very soon.

(2) That these people think Resurrection is yet remote and far off, and in Our sight it is close at hand and may occur any moment.

Ibn-Kathir
