Surah Al-Ma’idah Ayat 113 in Arabic Text

قَالُواْ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأۡكُلَ مِنۡهَا وَتَطۡمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ صَدَقۡتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيۡهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ

Qaaloo nureedu an naakula minhaa wa tatama ‘inna quloo bunaa wa na’lama an qad sadaqtana wa nakoona ‘alaihaa minash shaahideen

English Translation

They said, “We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses.”

Yusuf Ali
They said: “We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle.”

Abul Ala Maududi
They said: ‘We desire to partake of it that our hearts be satisfied and we know that you did speak the truth to us, and that we are its witnesses.’

Muhsin Khan
They said: “We wish to eat thereof and to be stronger in Faith, and to know that you have indeed told us the truth and that we ourselves be its witnesses.”

Pickthall
(They said:) We wish to eat thereof, that we may satisfy our hearts and know that thou hast spoken truth to us, and that thereof we may be witnesses.

Dr. Ghali
