Here you can read various translations of verse 30
Or do they say [of you], “A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?”
Or do they say:- “A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!”
Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.”
Or do they say: “(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time!
Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time?
Or even do they say, “He is a poet for whom we await the uncertainty (i.e., the calamity of death; literally: the suspicion of fortune or fate) of fortune?”
If they say, ‘He is only a poet: we shall await his fate,’
کیا کافر یوں کہتے ہیں کہ یہ شاعر ہے ہم اس پر زمانے کے حوادث (یعنی موت) کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں

Ala-Maududi
(52:30) Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.”[23]
23. That is, we are waiting for him to be afflicted with calamity so that we get rid of him. Probably they thought that since Muhammad (peace be upon him) was opposing their deities and denying their supernatural powers, he would fall under the curse of some deity, or some bold devotee of a god would put an end to him.
