English Translation

And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds.
And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly,
We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world
And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the ‘Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge,
And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures.
And indeed We already chose them, out of a knowledge, over the worlds;
We chose them knowingly above others:
اور ہم نے دانستہ طور پر بنی اسرائیل کو دنیا جہان والوں پر فوقیت دی
Quran 44 Verse 32 Explanation

Ala-Maududi
(44:32) We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world[28]
28. That is, Allah was well aware both of the qualities and of the weaknesses of the children of Israel. He had not chosen them blindly. For when he chose them from among the contemporary nations to become the standard bearers of His message and His Tauhid, they were the most suitable people in His knowledge for the purpose.
