When they entered upon David and he was alarmed by them? They said, “Fear not. [We are] two adversaries, one of whom has wronged the other, so judge between us with truth and do not exceed [it] and guide us to the sound path.
When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: “Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path..
As they came upon David — and he was frightened of them — they said: “Be not afraid. We are just two litigants: one of us has committed excess against the other. So judge rightly between us, and be not unjust; and guide us to the Right Way.
When they entered in upon Dawud (David), he was terrified of them, they said: “Fear not! (We are) two litigants, one of whom has wronged the other, therefore judge between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, and guide us to the Right Way.
How they burst in upon David, and he was afraid of them. They said: Be not afraid! (We are) two litigants, one of whom hath wronged the other, therefor judge aright between us; be not unjust; and show us the fair way.
As they entered upon Dawûd; then he was alarmed of them. They said, “Do not fear (anything); two adversaries we are. One of us has been inequitable to the other, (Literally: some of us against some “others”) so judge between us with the truth, and do not act unjudiciously, and guide us to the level path.
When they reached David, he took fright, but they said, ‘Do not be afraid. We are two litigants, one of whom has wronged the other: judge between us fairly- do not be unjust- and guide us to the right path.
جب یہ (حضرت) داؤد (علیہ السلام) کے پاس پہنچے، پس یہ ان سے ڈر گئے، انہوں نے کہا خوف نہ کیجئے! ہم دو فریق مقدمہ ہیں، ہم میں سے ایک نے دوسرے پر زیادتی کی ہے، پس آپ ہمارے درمیان حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دیجئے اور ناانصافی نہ کیجئے اور ہمیں سیدھی راه بتا دیجئے

Ala-Maududi
(38:22) When they came before David, he was alarmed to see them.[22] They said, “Have no fear: we are two parties in a suit, one of which has wronged the other, so decide between us rightly: do not be unjust and guide us to the right way.
22. He was alarmed because the two men had appeared in the private quarters of the ruler of the land suddenly, by climbing over the wall, instead of going before him by the proper entrance.
