Surah Baqarah Ayat 162 in Arabic Text

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنظَرُونَ
khaalideena feeha laa yukhaffafu ‘anhumul ‘azaabu wa laa hum yunzaroon

English Translation

Here you can read various translations of verse 162

Sahih International
Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.

Yusuf Ali
“They will abide therein: Their penalty will not be lightened, nor will respite be their (lot).

Abul Ala Maududi
Their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be reprieved.

Muhsin Khan
They will abide therein (under the curse in Hell), their punishment will neither be lightened, nor will they be reprieved.

Pickthall
They ever dwell therein. The doom will not be lightened for them, neither will they be reprieved.

Dr. Ghali
Eternally (abiding) therein, the torment will not be lightened for them, and they will not be respited.

Abdel Haleem
They will remain in this state of rejection: their punishment will not be lightened, nor will they be reprieved.

Muhammad Junagarhi
جس میں یہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے، نہ ان سے عذاب ہلکا کیا جائے گا اور نہ انہیں ڈھیل دی جائے گی

Ala-Maududi

(2:162) Thus shall they abide and their chastisement shall not be lightened, nor shall they be given respite.
