Surah Mu’minun Ayat 87 in Arabic Text
English Translation
Here you can read various translations of verse 87
They will say, “[They belong] to Allah.” Say, “Then will you not fear Him?”
They will say, “(They belong) to Allah.” Say: “Will ye not then be filled with awe?”
They will surely say: “Allah.” Say: “Will you not, then, fear (Allah)?”
They will say: “Allah.” Say: “Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed).”
They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: Will ye not then keep duty (unto Him)?
They will say, “To Allah (all that belongs).” Say, “Will you not then be pious?”
and they will reply, ‘God.’ Say, ‘Will you not be mindful?’
وه لوگ جواب دیں گے کہ اللہ ہی ہے۔ کہہ دیجیئے کہ پھر تم کیوں نہیں ڈرتے؟
Quran 23 Verse 87 Explanation

Ala-Maududi
(23:87) They will surely say: “Allah.”[79] Say: “Will you not, then, fear (Allah)?”[80]

80. That is, why are you not afraid of rebelling against Him and worshiping others besides Him? Why do you not dread that one day you shall have to give an account of all your deeds to the All-Powerful Sovereign of the universe?
