And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, “Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?”
So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Pharaoh: “Of course – shall we have a (suitable) reward if we win?
When the magicians came forth (for the encounter) they said to Pharaoh: “Is there a reward for us if we triumph?”
So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Fir’aun (Pharaoh): “Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?”
And when the wizards came they said unto Pharaoh: Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?
Then, when the sorcerers came, they said to Firaawn, (Pharaoh) “will we surely have a reward indeed, in case we are the ones who are the overcomers?”
When the sorcerers came, they said to Pharaoh, ‘Shall we be rewarded if we win?’

(26:41) When the magicians came forth (for the encounter) they said to Pharaoh: Is there a reward for us if we triumph?[34]
34. Such was the mentality of the supporters of the polytheistic creed of the land, whose only ambition was to win rewards from the king if they won the day.
